Every online marketer day dreams of simply optimizing there website, getting a top ranking in Google and then the traffic will come. Although that theory holds some validity it isn’t 100% accurate. Most of your online prospects are on the Internet looking for information…there doing research. I could take them up to ten times of seeing your website before they ever make a purchase.
It’s all about getting your site in front of people in as many ways as possible. Everywhere your prospects turn you want your name or product to be right there in their face. This is why I have created this article. I am going to share with you 10 websites that you absolutely need in your day to day marketing regimen.
There are several sites online that do very well in the search engines. I am sure that you have heard of a few of them, but may not have realized how important they were to your marketing efforts. I can’t sit here and tell you that one will actually do better than the other. What I can tell you is by using these resources you will dominate the search engines and find yourself everywhere your competition is not.
HubPages – http://hubpages.com / http://hubpages.com/profile/timbeachum – I love HubPages, just as much as the search engines do. You must have unique content in order to create your hubpage and trust me… They will know if you try to pull the wool over their eyes and they are quick to ban your hubpage.
Squidoo – http://www.squidoo.com / http://www.squidoo.com/timbeachum – Squidoo pages are known as lens’s and they rank very well in the search engines. You can also cross promote your other products and services as long as your not to blatant about it.
FaceBook – http://www.facebook.com / http://seogorillatactics.com/facebook – If you don’t have a facebook page you need to go get one right now. It shows that your a real person and allows customers, to connect with you personally. Do not use your personal Facebook page as your company page.
FriendFeed - http://friendfeed.com / http://friendfeed.com/timbeachum – Friend feed is a truly awesome tool. It grabs content from other sites that you tell it to. All you have to do is set it and forget it… Spread the link around, add a link to your blog. and bam watch the magic happen!
Flicker – http://www.flickr.com / http://www.flickr.com/photos/timbeachum – Flicker has been getting ranked pretty well in the search engines recently. Take advantage of this while it last. It’s very simple to use and extremely beneficial to getting you noticed and building name brand recognition.
Google Profiles - http://www.google.com / http://www.google.com/profiles/seogorillatactics – Maybe it’s just me but thus far 90% of the individuals I see with a Google profile ends up on the front page. I’m talking about the full shabang….picture and a chance to tell the world which links are the most important to you. If you don’t join any other site on this list…. JOIN THIS ONE RIGHT NOW!
Identi.ca – http://identi.ca / http://identi.ca/timbeachum – At first glance this would appear to be just another one of the millions of twitter knockoffs. I’m not sure why, but this site seems to always appear high in the search engines results. Make sure you add some of my links in there when you set up your account
Twitter.com - http://twitter.com / http://twitter.com/theseobully – I’m sure you know the world famous Twitter. Google loves twitter and often rewards the little blue bird with high rankings. Make sure you had a link that points back to your profile.

uStream.tv – http://www.ustream.tv / http://www.ustream.tv/channel/seo-gorilla-tactics—learn-seo – Are you like me and think that you have a face made for radio? Well suck it up just like I had to because video is here to stay and it’s not going anywhere…and not to mention the benefits of the good search engine rankings.
Youtube.com – http://www.youtube.com / http://www.youtube.com/user/seogorillatactics – If you have been paying attention to your search results then you have notice that Google tends to favor YouTube videos. Hmmmm I wonder why? Could it be because they own Google? Naaahhh they wouldn’t do that…WOULD THEY?
You are now armed with 10 of the hottest digital social networks on the web today. It would be wise of you to not procrastinate and jump on all of them right now. After all what could it hurt?
BONUS: Here is a little free tool that I use to automate some of my daily chores. In fact I use my iPhone to do a ton of work while sitting out at lunch waiting for the waiter Or while sitting in the parking lot waiting for the Gym to open.
